Paint That Belly!!!

I am SUPER excited to share this post with you!!!  Those of you who know me personally, know that I was a painting major in college.. Started with graphic design, and I hated it, I am just too hands-on to sit in front of a computer all day, so I switched to painting and I LOVED it.  Towards the end of my degree, I took some photography classes, and loved them just as much, but decided to finish up with painting since I did want to graduate under 6 years lol.  Now that I am full-forced into photography, I thought that there HAD to be a way to combine the two... and I found it!!!  What is a more important canvas than a mothers's pregnant belly??
When I decided I wanted to do this, I asked my good friend Heather if I could paint her belly, and I am SO glad that she said yes!!  Heather is such a beautiful woman, and makes an absolutely adorable pregnant lady!!  I hope you enjoy our belly pictures, I know I had a great time creating them!!

A big thank you to Heather for allowing me to paint all over that beautiful baby bump!!  I can't wait to meet that little baby!!!

Mini Session Day 2!!

As many of you know, I did a mini session day October 28th.  While I still got to see most of the people that were scheduled, I had a few that got rained out.  November 11th we had a make-up day for those that could make it.  It was an absolutely beautiful and sunny day!!  I really enjoyed the time I spent with each of my families, for both mini session days, I enjoyed it so much that I plan on doing it again very soon!!

This little lady had a mind of her own!!  Her personality reminded me so much of my own little lady!!  She was actually protesting being held, but we caught her just in time to make it look like a smile lol.  She was so much fun to photograph, and such a sweet little girl!!  I got quite a few hugs, and even a few kisses in the hour that I spent with them!! :)

Little man was so happy to be in the leaves and to be able to play with sticks!  It is amazing what can amuse a child for long periods of time!

Thank you again to all of the families that made mini session day 1 and day 2 possible!!  I truly enjoyed photographing your beautiful families :)

Heather, Matt, and Two Adorable Kids!!

Back before I was a stay at home mom, and a photographer, I was a teacher.  Heather and I worked at the same school, she was in the  math department and I was in the art.  Being a math teacher and an art teacher in a large high school, our paths almost never crossed... until we were both pregnant with our boys.  Heather and I began talking after we had our sons, they were born just about a week apart.  Who knows if we would have ever crossed paths had it not  been for our simultaneous pregnancies, but I thank goodness they did!  Heather is now one of my best friends, and as luck would have it, out little girls are just weeks apart as well. :)

I was so excited when Heather and Matt asked me to take their family photos!!  Their kids are the sweetest and most adorable ever!!  Because I was in Canada for a year and a half, this photo session with the first time I got to meet little lady, and she warmed right up to me, climbing on my lap and dancing around.  I very much enjoyed photographing Heather and Matt's family, I hope you enjoy the pictures! :)

Just love her smile!!

What a little stud ;)

Heather is stunningly beautiful, and so are her kids!!

Thank you again Matt and Heather for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family!!

Chris, Adrienne and their Adorable Family!!

A few weeks ago I got the opportunity to photograph Chris, Adrienne, their super-adorable son, and their 4 legged family member, Brody.  I grew up with Adrienne, we played soccer together and were often found at one another's houses on weekends.  As we got older, we went our separate ways as childhood friends often do.  She and her husband Chris recently moved back to NJ, as did I,  and as luck would have it, we moved into the same neighborhood, just a few streets away from one another!  Adrienne and Chris have THE most adorable family, just look at her little man!!  I am in love with his blond hair, and he is just the most relaxed and happy little boy, so quick to smile!!  I am equally as in love with their dog, Brody. He is just the sweetest, and gentlest dog I have every met!  I hope you enjoy the pictures from their family session, I know I enjoyed taking them!!!

Just look at that smile!!  I mean c'mon!!

After we finished with the family portraits, we decided on a smash the cake session for little mans 1st birthday!  He sure enjoyed his cake!!  I think he would still be sitting in the park eating it piece by piece if Adrienne and Chris had let him!!

A big THANK YOU to Chris and Adrienne for allowing me to capture your beautiful family!!  I am sure I will see you around the neighborhood soon :)

Oct 28th Mini Session Day!

When we found out our moving date to come back to NJ was going to be in October, one of the very first things I did was picked a date and set the details to hold a mini session day on October 28th.  I figured we would more likely than not get a beautiful fall day with sunny skys and beautiful fall leaves!!  Well, hurricane Sandy had other plans for my mini session day.  I thought for sure that we were going to get rained out, but "Frankenstorm Sandy" decided to wait until later in the day to start dumping rain and wind in my area.  Luckily we made it all the way until 3:00!!  Most of the people with apts kept them hoping that the storm would hold off, and to all of you I say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!  I am very happy with the way our photos for the day turned out, and for those of you that I missed due to the storm, I am looking forward to catching up with you very soon!!!
